As a Suffolk photographer, I get to see all sides of our fantastic county through the people, places and buildings that I photograph.
There is such diversity, beauty and community spirit to be found in the local businesses, events and landscapes that span from coast to countryside.
So I thought it only fitting that, in honour of this year’s Suffolk Day, I share some of my favourite things about our glorious county in the best way I know how… through the lens!
Cutting edge architecture
Architectural photography is one of my passions, so to have a fantastic building such as Suffolk County Council’s Endeavour House on my doorstep, is a true delight…
The Orwell Bridge has stood as a symbol of Suffolk for over 30 years. And while it may be the cause of many a moan when it comes to traffic and congestion, nobody can deny that it is a stunning feat of engineering.
A pleasure to photograph at any time of day…
Mouth-watering local produce
An area we are extremely lucky in is the quality and innovation of our local produce suppliers. I have been fortunate enough to work with micro breweries, food & drink solo-preneurs and small businesses who are breaking the mould with their delicious inventions…
Bustling community events
There is always something going on in Suffolk; from farmers markets and street fairs to maritime festivals, gigs and networking events.
I always delight in photographing events such as these – not only does it allow me to get creative, but it also allows me to indulge in a spot of people-watching. Always a fun pastime…
