Why hire a professional property photographer for residential real estate?
In order to make money in a real estate deal, the seller wants to maximise the price, the buyer wants to get value from the purchase, and the agent is focused on earning the largest commission. Any investment in selling your house should include using a professional real estate photographer.
How do you photograph properties?
With my background in interior design, you get more than a set of interior or exterior images just documenting the different rooms or location. Prior to shooting, I tour the property to choose what and how I will photograph. I determine where there is sufficient lighting in different rooms, and set up the best possible angles for capturing shots. Distractions such as open cabinets, TV remotes, paperwork and coats and bins are removed from sight. All cushions are plumped up, bed covers straightened out, curtains and blinds too. I’ll use the angles, features and small details to get across a sense of the wonderful lifestyle that’s possible in a property, commercial or residential.
How do you make real estate photos look good?
Natural lighting is everything when it comes to taking great property interior photographs. Every property listed is unique and, if given the opportunity, can be photographed in a variety of ways to show it in its best light.
From boutique accommodation and hotels to holiday lets and show homes, I use my interior styling knowledge to stage and dress a property for images that tell a story and represent the experiences and lifestyles on offer.

How much does property photography cost?
Just as no two properties are the same, so too is the pricing of a commercial or residential property photography shoot. As with all Simply C photoshoots, the initial stage is a conversation. Then we can ascertain location, the purpose for the final images and therefore what needs to be included and how many images are required. At this stage, we would also decide if both interior and exterior photographs are needed (and maybe storytelling and lifestyle photographs too). The variables are never the same so each price for a property photoshoot is bespoke for that commission.
